Batch email notifications from Grid
Email notifications can be generated at certain steps of the name matching process to provide your firm with a means for monitoring the progress of an inquiry submission.
Initial screening batch type
Each notification type can be configured on or off to align with your firm's unique business workflow. The following table shows the batch/notification types and descriptions.
Initial screening notifications go to the submitter. You may also add additional email addresses to receive them.
Notification type | Description |

Initial response | One email for each group of items submitted. Confirms submission of new inquiry search and assigned Batch ID. Indicates the number of names that were no-matched by the system and the number of names that went into review. Email subject line contains /Initial Response. |
Alert decision notify | Client Alert Decisioning only. An email with a link to review the matches for the group of names submitted. Email subject line contains /Alert Decisioning Notification. |
Alert PDF | One email for each name in a full Grid search that is alerted. Contains a link to the PDF alert. Can be enabled for every inquiry with at least one match marked Alert in a batch. Can be generated for a standard batch or a portfolio monitoring batch. Email subject line contains /new. |
Updated response | A second email for each group of names submitted by a web user. Contains the final count of names no-matched by the system, no-matched by a Grid analyst, for Analyst Review firms, and alerted. Email subject line contains /Updated Response. |
Portfolio monitoring batch type
Each notification type can be configured on or off to align with your firm's unique business workflow. The following table shows the batch/notification types and descriptions.
Portfolio monitoring notifications may go to the submitter, other specified email addresses, or both. Moody's requires a backup email address for any names that become unassigned in any case.
