Prepare to roll out Passfort

Before you start rolling Passfort out to your users, you should make sure everything is in place and ready to go.

If you have any questions, you can contact our Client Service team at ma_kyc_support@moodys.com.

Complete the configuration for direct agreements

We'll need the details, such as the API key name, for any direct agreements you have with your data providers. This will enable us to complete the configuration on Passfort's side.

The information we need depends on the data provider. To find out exactly what we need:

  1. Find the information for your data providers.

  2. Then, navigate to the section called What we'll need.

Send this information to our Client Service team.

Set up users

How you add your users to Passfort depends on whether you are using single sign-on (SSO) or not.

Set up users with SSO

If you would like to use SSO for Passfort, we'll help you get set up. Learn more about the SSO configuration process and user experience.

Tip

If you're planning to get SSO, but don't have it yet, don't worry, it's easy to switch later.

Set up users without SSO

Add your users to Passfort and configure teams as needed.

Roles and permissions are what enable users to access different areas of Passfort. When you add users, they'll have default roles and permissions, but you can customize them. In particular, you should confirm which users should be able to export report data. Because data contains personally identifiable information (PII), this permission is never granted by default.

Additional configuration

Notification preferences determine what information a user is alerted to, such as when an application is nearing expiry, and how they receive the alert, such as by email. Users set their own notification preferences by selecting the Manage account ManageAccount icon_menu icon and selecting Notifications. For more information, see About notifications.

Users also determine which application queues they see. This helps them manage their day-to-day workload. To set this up, they should apply filtering and sorting.

Train your users

We recommend training all day-to-day users of Passfort before you start your rollout. Ideally, the session should be recorded so it can be shared and rewatched later.

Training should cover:

  • Your smart policy

  • Navigating the Passfort portal

  • Searching, filtering, and assigning profiles

  • Handling cases that require manual intervention
